Day 1 ARRIVAL OSLO
Individual arrival in Oslo and transfer on your own to the hotel. The tour begins with your check-in at our centrally located hotel. Check-in available from 2:00 pm. At 5:00 pm a local guide will host a
2-hours hospitality desk to answer any questions you may have and help you find a nice restaurant for dinner. Overnight at the Hotel Rainbow Opera.
Day 02 OSLO - GEILO (B, D)
This morning after breakfast, we set out by a modern touring coach with a local guide. At the DFDS pier we meet with your tour escort and the rest of your group at 9.30am. Enjoy a 3-hours city tour of Oslo, the Norwegian capital, including the Akershus Fortress, the Parliament, City Hall, Royal Palace, and the Vigeland Park. Drive towards Holmenkollen Hills with a great view of the ski jump, the city and the Oslo Fjord. Time for a light lunch at the main street Karl Johan or Aker Brygge, before we leave Oslo to drive along the shores of the Tyri Fjord into the Norwegian landscape. Via the fertile Hallingdal Valley we arrive early evening in the famous ski resort Geilo. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Bardola.
Day 03 GEILO - FLÅM - STALHEIM (B, D)
After breakfast departure on the Bergenbanen to Myrdal. Here you change to the famous Flåm Railroad, the steepest and most spectacular railroad in Europe. Arrival in the fjord village of Flåm, nestled on the banks of the Aurland Fjord. Embark for a memorable 2 hour cruise on the Aurland and Nærøy fjords, both arms of the majestic Sognefjord. Disembark in Gudvangen and drive up the steep hairpin road to Stalheim, our mountain top hotel for the next 2 days. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Stalheim.
Day 04 STALHEIM - BERGEN - HARDANGER FJORD –STALHEIM (B, D)
Today you well enjoy a full day excursion to Bergen. Driving time via Voss is 2.5 hours. Upon arrival in Bergen your tour escort will take you on a short orientation tour including the Fish and Flower Market and the Bryggen wharf, now on Unesco's World Heritage List. Free time to explore this charming city on your own. Return mid-afternoon via Steindalsfossen waterfalls and along the shores of the Hardanger Fjord to Stalheim. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Stalheim.
Day 05 STALHEIM - SOGNEFJORD - GEIRANGER (B, D)
After breakfast a descent to Vinje and a ferry crossing on the Sognefjord from Vangsnes to Dragsvik. Embark in Balestrand for a 1 hour 20 minutes cruise on the idyllic Fjærland Fjord. Disembark in Fjærland with stop to admire the Jostedalen Glacier. Continue our drive via Skei and Loen along the Horningdal Lake to Hellesylt. Cruise on the majestic Geiranger Fjord, passing the Seven Sisters' and Bridal Veil Waterfalls, to Geiranger. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Geiranger.
Day 06 GEIRANGER - LILLEHAMMER – HAMAR (B, D)
Short drive to Dalsnibba, one of the most famous panorama points in Norway. Via Grotli to Lom to view the old wooden Stave Church from the 12th century. Drive through the idyllic Gudbrandsdal Valley, said to be the home of the Trolls. In the afternoon we reach Lillehammer, site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. After a short orientation drive of the Olympic sites, you have free time for a stroll on the charming main street before the last short drive to Hamar, tonight's destination by Lake Mjosa. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel First Victoria.
Day 07 HAMAR - MORA – FALUN (B, D)
Today we cross the border into Sweden and across forest-clad landscapes into the province of Dalecarlia. Short stop in Mora , before continuing around the Lake Siljan to Nusnes, famous for wooden Dalar horses. Finally we arrive in Falun, an old mining town in the Dalarna region. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel First Grand in Falun.
Day 08 FALUN - UPPSALA – STOCKHOLM (B)
Today begins with a drive via Sala to Uppsala, the old university town with its impressive medieval Cathedral. Short stop in Sigtuna, a small town by Lake Malaren with its charming main street with painted wooden houses. In the afternoon we reach Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Time for a short walk with your tour escort and dinner on your own. Overnight at the Hotel First Amaranten.
Day 09 STOCKHOLM (B)
This morning your local guide and private coach will take us on a 3-hour city tour of Stockholm. Visit the City Hall, site of the annual Nobel Prize Banquet. Enjoy a panoramic view over the city, also called "Beauty on the Water". Take a stroll in the Old Town with its narrow cobble-stoned streets. On our way back to the hotel we pass the Royal Palace and the Parliament. Afternoon at leisure for shopping or an optional Canal cruise through the archipelago of Stockholm. Overnight at the Hotel First Amaranten.
Day 10 DEPART STOCKHOLM (B)
Enjoy breakfast before check out.
