Our very popular Glacier tour start by visiting Hveragerđi, a horticultural center, where geothermal water is used to warm greenhouses to grow varying kinds of vegetables and flowers. Travel over fertile farmlands and sand flats  Markarfljót, heading to Skógar, the Skógarfoss and Seljarlandsfoss waterfalls and the sand flats by the glacial river Markafljót. Continue to the Skaftafell National Park, one of Iceland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty, dominated by the glacier Vatnajökull. The park was set aside in 1968 as one of Iceland's most outstanding areas of natural beauty. On to Jökulsárlón and the Glacial Lagoon, where we enjoy a boat trip among the floating icebergs. From the lagoon to the Ţjórsárdalur valley, dominated by the celebrated volcano Hekla, Iceland's most active volcano. If weather permits you will visit Ţórsmörk valley, a picturesque site beneath glaciers. Other highlights are the famous Geysir hot springs, along with Strokkur, spouting every few minutes. On to Gullfoss, the Golden Fall, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. The last stop is Ţingvellir National Park, where for centuries the ancient Viking Parliament convened in the open on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake.

Day 1 Mon, SOUTH SHORE
Depart Reykjavík to Hveragerđi, a horticultural centre. From there drive along the south shore, across fertile farmlands and glacial rivers to Skógar, and the Skógarfoss and Seljarlandsfoss waterfalls and the sand flats of  the glacial river Markafljót.
On to Dyrhólaey, a nature reserve. Continue to Kirkjubćjarklaustur, former site of a 12th-century Catholic convent for overnight stay.

Day 2 Tue, SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK - GLACIAL LAGOON
Drive from Kirkjubćjarklaustur to Skaftafell National Park, one of Iceland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty, dominated by Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest ice cap. Continue to the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon where huge icebergs, float and grind together in the still, deep waters of the lagoon.

Day 3 Wed, LANDMANNALAUGAR OR ŢÓRSMÖRK VALLEY

Today you will visit Thjórsárdalur valley,  which is dominated by the celebrated volcano Hekla, Iceland's most active volcano. The quiet period between Hekla's eruptions has ranged from 16 years to 121 years, with the most recent eruption on February 26, 2000.  If weather permits you will visit Thórsmörk valley, a picturesque site beneath glaciers.

Day 4 Thu, GULLFOSS - ŢINGVELLIR - REYKJAVIK (B)
Depart for the Geysir area to see the famous great Geysir and Strokkur, a hot spring that spouts every few minutes. On to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. The next stop is Ţingvellir National Park, where the ancient parliament met for centuries on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake.
Return to Reykjavik.
