Recently celebrating its 300th Anniversary, the magnificent city of St. Petersburg entices with a legacy of history, the arts and striking beauty. St. Petersburg is a city of canals and rivers, built on 101 islands, joined by 350 graceful bridges over the Neva River, thus earning the name " Venice of the North". The city, once the capital of Russia, is a bustling world capital of art, culture, history, music and luxury. Travel by first class train "Sibelius" from Helsinki. Upon arrival in St. Petersburg, your private car and English speaking guide will meet and escort you on all excursions and sightseeing tours. We have arranged for special entrances, including the Grand Palace, Lower Gardens, Catherine Palace and the famous Amber Room. Visit the dazzling Hermitage Art Museum, tour the Museum's Art Collections, see the Summer Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral and Peterhof. Enjoy an evening Ballet performance at one of the famous theaters such as the Mariinsky Theater, the Hermitage Theater, Alexandrinsky Theater or Mussorgsky. There is much enchantment in St. Petersburg waiting to take visitors into a time gone by, which will live in the hearts and memories forever.

 

Day 1 HELSINKI - ST. PETERSBURG

Early morning departure by Finnish train "Sibelius" in first class to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival at the Ladozhkij Railway Station, your private car, driver & guide will meet you. Proceed directly from Railway Station for a city sightseeing tour (from Railway Station - Smolny – Shpalernaya - Liteiny Bridge - Aurora – Peter& Paul Fortress – Spit of Vasily Island - Palace Bridge – Admiralty Embankment - St. Isaac’s Square - Nevsky Prospekt) Enjoy the fabulous view over the city center before being transferred to your hotel. End the tour at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the **** Hotel Angleterre, beautifully located in the heart of St Petersburg's St Isaac's Square, next to the Astoria Hotel

Day 2 ST. PETERSBURG - HERMITAGE - ST. ISAAC'S (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure from Hotel Angleterre - drive Nevsky, Art’s Square, Church on Spilled Blood. Private entrance to Hermitage Art Museum, Tour of the museum’s Art collections. Free time for independent lunch. Visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral and afternoon return to the hotel. This evening private transfer from the hotel to the prestigious Mariinsky Theater for a fabulous Ballet performance with Parterre seating. Return transfer by private car after the performance. Overnight Hotel Angleterre in deluxe room.



Day 3 ST. PETERSBURG - PETERHOF - PUSHKIN (B, L)

Buffet breakfast at hotel. Morning departure for Peterhof. Enjoy a special entrance and visit to Grand Palace (slightly before opening) and the Lower Gardens. At noon your private driver will take you on an approx. 50 min. drive to Tsarskoye Selo - Pushkin, up to 1917 the Summer Residence of the Russian Emperors.

Lunch at Admiralty restaurant in Catherine Palace Park, followed by your visit to Catherine Palace and the famous Amber Room. The room was first installed in the Winter Palace, in 1755 move to the Catherine Palace. In 1979 a decision was made to reconstruct the Amber Room and the reborn Amber Room was opened on 31 May, 2003. Return drive to city center and the hotel., approx. 1 hr 15 min. Evening at leisure. Overnight Hotel Angleterre in deluxe room.

Please note: During weekdays departure for Peterhof 30 min. earlier.



Day 4 ST. PETERSBURG – HELSINKI (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning at leisure, time to take a stroll and do some last minute shopping along Nevsky Prospekt. Transfer by private car from the hotel to Ladozhkij Railway Station for your return voyage on "Sibelius" to Helsinki. Depart for Helsinki full of fun-filled memories and deep lasting impressions. The program ends with evening arrival in Helsinki.

Option: Overnight in Helsinki at Hotel Kämp
