A combination of two great cities and the romantic journey along the Göta Canal. Visit the Royal Palace and "Gamla Stan" in Stockholm. Pass through the archipelagos, picturesque hamlets and lush Swedish Countryside while cruising on the historic Göta Canal, the "Blue Ribbon of Sweden". This peaceful and romantic journey on the Göta Canal, joining the North Sea and the Baltic, is a journey through Swedish history. Cruise down the Göta Canal waterway stretching across Sweden, linking Göteborg in the west and Stockholm in the east. The canal route passes the archipelagos of thousands of islands and through 65 locks. With many stops en route, this leisurely trip takes you past fortress ruins, medieval cloister, Royal Palaces, 12th century churches, picturesque hamlets and lush Swedish forests. Enjoy some of the finest cuisine on board the classic Göta Canal steamer. 

 

 

 

Day 1 ARRIVE STOCKHOLM 
Arrive Stockholm, transfer on your own to the hotel. This evening enjoy your Under the Bridges of Stockholm tour. Passing under 15 bridges and 2 locks, you will sail on both the Baltic Sea and Lake Mälaren. Overnight at the Rica Gamla Stan Hotel.

Day 2 - 5 GÖTA CANAL (B, L, D)
 
Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer on your own to the pier for your morning departure, onboard the M/S Juno or William Tham. Spend these next 4 days cruising the beautiful and historic Göta Canal! Experience the peaceful and romantic journey along the "Blue Ribbon", winding gracefully through the idyllic Swedish Countryside, passing quaint villages, townships, fortresses and castles. Overnight on board the historic Göta Canal ship.

Day 5 GÖTEBORG (B, L) 
Breakfast on board. Afternoon arrival in Göteborg. Transfer on your own to the hotel.
This evening enjoy a classical evening cruise in the southern archipelago of Göteborg with the boat M/S Lasse Dahlquist. We offer a buffet of fresh shrimp, different kinds of salmon and a lot more. There is live music on board and you will experience the best of what the west coast of Sweden has to offer. We pass many of the well-known islands such as Styrsö, Donsö, and Brännö. Overnight at the Hotel Eggers.

Day 6 DEPART GÖTEBORG (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and end of program.
