Welcome to the Faroe Islands - one of the undiscovered treasures in the North Atlantic! Situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream, halfway between Iceland and Norway. The Faroes are rich in history, culture and long standing traditions, dating back to the Viking area. The Viking settlers established their own parliament with local Tings in different parts of the islands. The main ting on Tinganes is Torshavn, a colorful thriving town, historical and picturesque, and one of the smallest and most pleasant capitals in the world. Situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic at 62°00°N, the Faroe Islands lie northwest of Scotland and halfway between Iceland and Norway, a small island community, covering only 1,400 square km, with approx. 44,000 inhabitants. The Faroes ever-changing scenery of ocean, sea caves, bird cliffs, mountains, fertile valleys, and endless daylight during summer are one of the last places in Europe where everyday life brings what people elsewhere look for: Closeness, Nature and Tranquility.

Day 1 Streymoy - Tórshavn
Enjoy your flight from Copenhagen to the Faroes. Transfer from the airport to hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the capital on your own. Overnight at the Hotel Tórshavn.
Day 2 Streymoy – Suðuroy – Tvøroyri
The morning is at your leisure. Use the opportunity to visit the many sights of Tórshavn: the Nordic House, the National Museum, Tinganes and the old Skansin Fort. This afternoon depart by ferry from Tórshavn to Suðuroy, the southern most island of the Faroes, continue by bus to the village of Tvøroyri. Overnight at Hotel Tvøroyri.
Day 3 Suðuroy - Walk to Hvannhagi
After breakfast, start the day by exploring Tvøroyri on your own. This afternoon hike over the mountain from Tvøroyri to Hvannhagi. Walk in magnificent scenery with a unique view over the islands Lítla Dímun and Stóra Dímun. Overnight at Hotel Tvøroyri.
Day 4 Suðuroy - Hvalba & Sandvík - Tórshavn
Today visit the only working coal mine in the Faroes. Afterwards, visit to an ancient village with an interesting history - Hvalba. Continue on to Sandvik, the bearer of Christianity to the Faroe Islands, the Viking Sigmundur Brestisson, was killed around 1,000 years ago. Visit to a farmhouse museum. On the return enjoy the western side of Suðuroy with its magnificent natural scenery and rich bird life. Depart for Tórshavn this evening. Overnight at Hotel Tórshavn.
Day 5 Tórshavn - Streymoy
This morning is at your own leisure. At 18:00 the tour bus will pick you up. On the tour see ruins of the cathedral in Kirkjubø and the Roykstova, a 900 year old residence. 20:00 return to Tórshavn. Overnight at the Hotel Tórshavn.
Day 6 Tórshavn - Streymoy & Northern Islands
Today enjoy a full day tour exploring the northern islands. Visit a Viking settlement in Leirvík, church in Klaksvík and a wool factory in Tøting. Overnight at the Hotel Tórshavn
Day 7 Tórshavn
Today is free to explore Tórshavn on your own. Perhaps an optional tour to Vestmanna Birdcliffs. Overnight at the Hotel Tórshavn.
Day 8 Tórshavn - Copenhagen
Transfer to the airport. Depart on your return flight to Copenhagen.
