This unique excursion takes you through some of the most picturesque scenery in the fjord region of western Norway! It combines spectacular train rides and an equally impressive cruise by Expressboat through the mighty Sogne Fjord, deepest and longest fjord in the world. Leave Oslo on the scenic Bergenbanen across snow capped mountains of the Hardanger Vidda, via Geilo and Finse to Myrdal. Ride on the world famous Flåm Railway, descending through the wild Flåm Valley to Flåm, passing steep mountain cliffs, waterfalls and quaint villages. Continue with a spectacular cruise through the Sogne Fjord, approx. 125 miles out to the west coast of Norway, and through the archipelago surrounding Bergen. A combination of trains and cruise providing magnificent scenery of Mountains, Flam Valley, Fjord and Sea!
The tour can be completed in one day or you can you can stop off along the selected railway. Should you wish to spend more time in the Fjord Region, we highly recommend overnight stays in Flam at the lovely Fretheim Hotel, or in Balestrand at the historic Kvikne's Hotel or the Balestrand Pension prior to your cruise to Bergen.
