Fjord Line Price Reductions 2006

The price reductions given by Fjord Line apply only to crossings and not to cruises or package holidays including events above.

Reductions for Children
A 50% reduction on the adult fare is given for children between the ages of 4 and 15 (inclusive). This does not, however, apply to cabin prices. Children under 4 years and without their own berth travel free of charge.

Reductions for Senior Citizens
Passengers who are 60 or over or in receipt of invalidity/war-disablement benefit and who have valid identity papers are given a 50% discount on the full adult fare. Please note, this discount applies to a limited number of places on each departure. The discount also applies to an accompanying person. It does not apply to cabin supplements.

Student reductions
As with the reduction for senior citizens, only for students with valid student passes and for college and university students. Does not apply to accompanying persons.

Group discounts
One person travels free for every 20 paying passengers and there is no charge for the coach. For more information, contact our sales agents.
Any passengers wishing to claim a discount must do so when booking their tickets. Discounts cannot be claimed once the journey has been paid. It is not possible to combine different discounts.

Useful information about the fares:

  • Fjord Line guarantees that the prices for the sailing dates and services booked by you will not be reduced after your booking. So you are not put at a disadvantage by booking early. Please note that the price may increase between price information being given and a booking made at a later date.

  • The passenger car prices currently include one passenger car (up to 5 m long
and 2 m high) and 1-2 or 3-5 persons and differ for one-way trips and return trips. Cabin prices are not included.

  • The cabin prices are fixed for the whole year and therefore are not included in the flexible pricing system. You are obliged to book a cabin if you are on a night crossing.

  • If your vehicle is longer than 5 m and/or higher than 2 m, you need to add the relevant surcharge. The surcharges are not included in the flexible pricing system and are valid throughout the year.

  • If you would like to change your booking, the price that applies at the time the booking is changed is the price charged, plus a change of booking fee.

  • Don’t waste precious time: the earlier you book, the greater your chances of traveling at the cheapest price!

ADAC / NAF
Norway has a well-developed road network that has lost nothing of its romantic character. The Norwegian breakdown service is NAF (Norges Automobil Forbund), the equivalent of the ADAC. Members of the ADAC are entitled to free breakdown service. The high price level in Norway means that having your car repaired is a costly affair. Some emergency telephones are placed at the roadside along the main tourist routes. If you need breakdown help, the NAF alarm centre (tel. 22 34 16 00) has a twenty-four hour service.
The NAF road patrol vehicles patrol the most important stretches of road between 10 am and 7 pm from 20 June to 15 August
